Local 58 – Gateway Home Bargaining Update

Dear Local 58 members,

The employer’s final offer was put to a vote on Monday, November 15th. Local 58 members voted 97.9 percent to reject the offer.

We will be conferring with our legal counsel over the next few days for the purpose of initiating first contract arbitration. We will provide more detail within the next week.

Our thanks to Local 58 for voicing their support to the Bargaining Committee with a vote of rejection. We know that this was a difficult decision given how much they care about their homeowners. This vote gives us a clear mandate and a stronger position from which to continue the bargaining process on the local’s behalf.
