Notice to Civil Service seasonal employees
Dear Civil Service seasonal members,
Members who are seasonal employees have raised concerns with the Union concerning their inability to reply to Expression of Interest job postings due to their lack of access to the government email system during seasonal layoff.
We have raised this concern with the Employer and they have informed us that any seasonal employees who wish to maintain their government employee email access while on layoff only need to speak to their manager and arrangements for access will be made.
If you have any difficulty after connecting your manager please contact the NSGEU Office at 902-424-4063 (1-877-556-7438 toll free) or email inquiry@nsgeu.ca and ask to speak to your Employee Relations Officer.
Note: We are also sending a voice message regarding this notice to all CS seasonal members. If you do not receive a voice message please call the NSGEU and update your contact information.
