Update for LPNs: Hearing Dates Scheduled for LPN Reclassification

We are pleased to announce that hearing dates have finally been scheduled for your reclassification appeal.

Your LPN Reclassification Committee – which is made up of both NSGEU staff and LPN members – has been working diligently on this issue for years. This work has included collecting a great deal of evidence to prove that the role of LPN has changed substantially and also meeting with the employer to deal with process issues.

With information gathered from frontline workers like you, we believe we have collected all of the evidence that is necessary to bring this appeal forward to a hearing, and dates have finally been set for December 6, 7 and 8th, 2017.  In the summer your LPN Reclassification Committee will be meeting to prepare their testimony and exhibits.

We so appreciate the patience you’ve shown throughout this lengthy process, and the assistance you’ve provided to us with gathering feedback and evidence.
