Local 78B Bargaining Update: Final Offer Received. Information Session/Vote – Wed., Jan 31, 7pm

Dear members of Local 78B,

Your Bargaining Committee received a final offer from the Employer on Tuesday, January 23rd.

We have scheduled an information session and ratification vote on this final offer for Wednesday, January 31st at 7:00 p.m. at the NSGEU Conference Centre, 255 John Savage Avenue, Dartmouth. All Drivers, Monitors, Mechanics, Lube Techs, and Foremen are invited to attend.

Ratification packages will be provided at the meeting which will include details of the employer’s final offer and a ballot. Voting will commence at the end of the session and the vote will remain open for two weeks to allow for mail in ballots and give everyone a chance to vote.

If you are not able to attend the information session, an information package including details of the final offer and a ballot, will be mailed to you at your home address. If you think we may not have your current address, please contact us at the number or email address below. Also, please follow the double envelope process outlined in the package to ensure the confidentiality of your vote.

Please note that travel and childcare expenses are not reimbursed for this information session/ratification vote.
