A Message from NSGEU President Jason MacLean

Good morning,

To mark National Nursing Week, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the incredible work you do, each and every day, in caring for Nova Scotians.

NSGEU nurses are with their patients every step of the way, and you have proven to be tireless advocates, speaking out on many issues, including patient safety.

I have a great deal of respect for the care nurses deliver – often in very difficult circumstances – and am looking forward to working with you to improve your working conditions and, ultimately, outcomes for patients.

NSGEU nurses are helping keep the health care system working during this time of crisis. They deserve to be treated with respect and have the appropriate equipment and support they need to do their jobs to the high level they set for themselves.

We appreciate your dedication to the people of Nova Scotia.
