Local 32 – Yarmouth Argyle Home Support Services Bargaining Update: Proposals Exchanged

Dear Local 32 members,

Your bargaining committee met with your employer on Tuesday, February 12th for another day of negotiations. Negotiations were very cordial and 99 per cent of proposed articles have been agreed to.

At the end of the day, the union proposed a wage package that would bring all members in line with similar classification in other organizations that provide the same services.

The union is waiting for a response on the wage proposals and the employer assured us that they will be discussing the proposals with the funder over the next few days.

Based on the employer’s response, your committee will decide on what steps to take next.
