Local 70 – South Shore Regional Centre for Education Pension Plan Update
Dear Local 70 members,
As many of you are aware, the Union met with the Employer to discuss the likelihood of negative financial impacts to members of your Bargaining Unit, should employees vote in favour of transferring from the South Shore Plan to the PSSP. In follow up to that meeting, as well as the discussion at your last local meeting, we wanted to advise you that your Employer, through the office of the Regional Executive Director, Paul Ash, has confirmed that they will not be proceeding with the transition at this time. They may revisit the issue at a later date.
If you have any questions or concern, please do not hesitate to contact us.
