Joan Jessome, NSGEU President, will be hosting a meeting for Guysborough County Home Support, Richmond County Division, to discuss the governmentâs decision to further contract out all home support services in Nova Scotia.
Our concern is that if a new company (or companies) are selected to deliver all Nova Scotia’s home support services, and your current company loses its contract, you do not have the right to follow your job. This means that – if the new company decides to hire you – they can pay you a lot less and not offer you any of the benefits you have today.
