NSGEU Statement on Tragedy in Beirut
The NSGEU stands in solidarity with the citizens of Lebanon and the Lebanese community here in Nova Scotia after the tragic explosion that devastated Beirut yesterday. The Lebanese community of our province is strong and united, but we are sure you are all suffering today.
On behalf of the 31,000 public sector workers I represent, I would like to offer our sympathies and support to those who are affected by this terrible catastrophe. We mourn with you.
In respect and solidarity,
Jason MacLean
President, NSGEU
