Local 33 – VON Richmond Home Support Ratification Vote Scheduled for Thursday, August 6th

Dear members,

Thank you to all those who turned out for the information sessions held on July 30^th to review the final offer presented by the Employer on a new collective agreement.

This was a difficult round of bargaining, with many unexpected obstacles, but your Bargaining Committee believes that the final offer presented by the Employer is one that they can recommend for acceptance to the membership.

Two ratification vote sessions have been scheduled. Employees are asked to drop in to vote during one of the following sessions:

Date: Thursday, August 6^th

Times:

• Session 1: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Place: (parking lot) East Richmond Education Centre, St Peter’s

• Session 2: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Place: Acadiaville Hall, 1436 Highway 206, West Arichat

Your Employee Relations Officer, Corry MacKinnon, along with members of your Bargaining Committee, will be in attendance to give you some updated information on the package presented to you on July 30^th and to answer any questions a members may have before casting their vote.

Due to COVID-19, we will be adhering to social distancing and ask that everyone in attendance wear a mask.
