Local 87 – Parkland at the Lakes Tentative Agreement Reached, Ratification Vote Scheduled

Good afternoon,

Your bargaining committee has reached a tentative agreement with your employer, and is recommending acceptance.

Thanks in large part to the strong strike mandate the membership gave the bargaining committee, the employer came to the table with some impressive offers for the members, stating they heard us that it is important that our members be recognized for the work they do and their pay be reflective of that work.

We will be holding two drop-in information sessions/ratification votes on Monday, July 12^th between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Parkland on the Lakes, in the large classroom. At that meeting, we will provide copies of the tentative agreement, and members of the bargaining committee and your Chief Negotiator will be present to answer any questions you may have. It is very important that you attend one of these sessions, as this will be your only opportunity to vote on your new collective agreement.
