NATIONAL DAY OF MOURNING, APRIL 28

We remember workers who have died, were injured, or became ill from their job. We commit to protecting workers and preventing further workplace tragedies.

In 2022, 24 workers in our province lost their life at or because of work. NSGEU has always been a strong voice for safety in the workplace. Union’s overall were the voice that changed safety in workplaces across this province.

This year, Ron Beck is being remembered by Work Safe for Life. Ron was a railway conductor in Halifax and died on the job in 2004. You can watch his story here:
