Local 20 – NS Hearing & Speech Centres: Bargaining Update

Your bargaining committee met with the employer today (Wednesday, September 13th) to respond to the employer’s essential services plan. Doing so is a necessary step in positioning our local to take job action with the aim of concluding this round of negotiations.

Your employer received our response and committed to responding in the near term.

In less than two weeks (Tuesday, September 26th at 4:30 pm), Local 20 is coming together for a rare in-person Local meeting at the NSGEU office in Dartmouth (255 John Savage Avenue).

Your bargaining committee plans to use this opportunity to provide a detailed update on the status of contract negotiations and the essential services process.
