Local 43 – Canadian Blood Services Bargaining Update

Your bargaining committee and employer met for bargaining on September 19 & 20. At that time, the next bargaining dates were scheduled for November 14 and 15. Unfortunately, these dates have been cancelled by the Employer as they have had a change in their negotiating team. Dates in December/January are currently under review to continue with negotiations.

Per Schedule A of your collective agreement, your general wage increases are to match the increases that are achieved for the Healthcare Bargaining Unit with Nova Scotia Health. This agreement was ratified in September but has not yet been implemented with Nova Scotia Health. The Union has begun discussions with your Employer to have these increases implemented, retroactive to November 1, 2023.
