Please find below the Day of Mourning ceremonies being held in Nova Scotia this year. NSGEU encourages everyone to participate in a ceremony in their community.

If you would like to order a wreath, please contact: Flower Trends. Lisa (the owner) has multiple locations, but said we should order through her Dartmouth location, as it’s the largest, and is also where her ribbon printer is. The number there is 902-434-5150, and orders should be placed no later than April 21st to meet their cutoff.

Kentville Memorial Park — at Workers’ Memorial Stone Monument
April 28, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
There will be an opportunity for wreath-laying if you wish.
It will be followed by a reception at the District Labour Council Office at 362 Main Street, Kentville.

6 PM at Steeltown Park, 119 Park Street, Trenton, N.S.
If you would like to order a wreath: Mc Keans Flowers: 902-752-4146. They will deliver all the wreaths to the park the day of the ceremony.
