Notice of Losses in the Long Lake Wildfire
As the Long Lake wildfire continues to burn out of control, my heart goes out to all who have been affected by this crisis.
While many of us are preparing to celebrate the Labour Day weekend, take a moment to reflect on the immense sacrifices being made by firefighters and countless others who are working tirelessly on the front lines. Their courage and dedication to protecting our communities and supporting those displaced by this tragedy is nothing short of heroic.
The spirit of solidarity and resilience shown by Nova Scotians during this time is a testament to our strength as a community. I am proud to see our members and fellow citizens come together, offering support in any way they can.
As we move through the long weekend, I urge everyone to remain vigilant. The risk of fire is still incredibly high. Please do everything you can to prevent further fires and protect our beautiful province. Let’s honour the hard work of our first responders and show our respect for those who have lost so much by being responsible and mindful.
In solidarity,
Sandra Mullen
