Civil Service Clerical: Wage Parity Project Update

Work on the wage parity project for civil service clerical continues.

The purpose of the wage parity project is to analyze female-dominated clerical groups to see if they were paid appropriately compared to male-dominated groups within the public sector.

Unfortunately, the recommendations provided by the committee remain with government. The union has asked for updates on their progress or a date when the findings will be released but the employer has been unable to provide us with this information. This is a serious issue and the lack of progress or even clear updates on the progress for these underpaid members is disappointing.

The union continues to push the government for clear direction on next steps.
