Locals 93, 94 & 95 – Important Telephone Town Hall Meeting Scheduled
On Tuesday, December 10th, NSGEU President Joan Jessome will be hosting a very important telephone town hall meeting with members of locals 93, 94 and 95 (who work in Pictou, Cumberland & Colchester East Hants; Cape Breton & Guysborough, Antigonish Strait Richmond; and South Shore, South West Nova and Annapolis Valley Health Authorities).
The purpose of the meeting, which will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., is to discuss the provincial government’s proposed restructuring of the District Health Authorities (DHAs), to update you on the status of your current bargaining, and to tell you about the nursing and patient safety campaign the NSGEU has recently unveiled.
Participating in a telephone town hall meeting is easy. We will call you between 7:30 and 7:35 p.m. on Tuesday. During the meeting, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and make comments, just like on a radio call-in show. The meeting will last about 90 minutes, but you can leave at any time simply by hanging up.
You should soon receive a phone call inviting you to attend this town hall meeting. If you do not receive a call, please contact us by 5 p.m. on Monday, December 9th at 424-4063 or 1-877-556-7438 to ensure we have your correct phone number on file. If you don’t receive a call the night of the meeting, or experience any technical difficulties during the call, please contact us at the above number.
Thank you, and we look forward to speaking with you next Tuesday!
