Local 97 CDHA Nurses – Strike Pay
The NSGEU has recently mailed out strike pay cheques to those nurses who participated in job action in early April: $25 for those who were on the picket line for one day, and $50 for those who lost two days’ pay. These cheques are being sent to nurses who were without any pay for strike days. A policy grievance has been launched on behalf of the people who were on STI and maternity leave and lost pay during the strike.
If you have any questions or concerns about strike pay, please contact the NSGEU by calling 424-4063 (toll-free 1-877-556-7438) or emailing inquiry@nsgeu.ca.
