The government is completing a round of public consultations on their next budget which is likely to be released in April.
- Yarmouth, March 2 at the Rodd Grand Hotel, 417 Main St.
- Bridgewater, March 3 at the Bridgewater Junior Senior High School, 100 York St. in the school cafeteria
Information sessions begin at 6 pm and table discussions from 7-9 pm
We encourage NSGEU members to attend this meeting if they live in the area. Tell the government representatives at the meeting about the important work you do for Nova Scotians every day. Let them know the value of the services you provide.
You can also point out that public employees pay taxes and spend their money locally which supports the private sector in communities across the province. Investing in a strong public service supports the private sector and a healthy economy.
All meetings begin with a come-and-go, open-house-style information session from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. there will be world-café-style table discussions. Participants can attend either or both.
The deadline to submit written suggestions has been extended until March 6. They can be submitted in English or French via email to taxreview@novascotia.ca or by mail to:
