Solidarity Rally: Standing with Nova Scotia’s Filmmakers/Creative Sector
People who work in the filmmaking industry will be rallying at the Legislature tomorrow (Wednesday, April 15th) between noon and 6:30 p.m. to protest against detrimental changes to the Film Tax Credit made in the Liberal’s 2015/2016 budget.
They have called for support from fellow workers. We are asking any activists in the Metro area who are able to attend to show up to stand in solidarity with these workers: our neighbours, family members, and friends. Let this government know that they need to listen to the people of Nova Scotia.
Organizers say the most important times to be at the rally are between 12 and 1:30 p.m. and 5 and 6:30 p.m. (over lunch hours and after work), but any time you are able to come by would be appreciated! For more information on the rally, please visit https://www.facebook.com/pages/NSfilmjobs-Rally/1579004249006288
Thank you.
