Health Administrative Professionals Bargaining Unit Bargaining Update: Conciliation
As you are aware, talks at the bargaining table for the Administrative Professional bargaining unit broke off on January 19. At that time, your bargaining team filed for conciliation. Yesterday, the bargaining team was contacted by Conciliator Rick Rose from Nova Scotia Conciliation and Mediation Services. Conciliator Rose put forward three possible dates for the bargaining team and the employer to begin the conciliation process. The date that has been confirmed to begin the process is Friday, March 24. It has also been confirmed that the conciliation process will take place at the NSGEU offices in Dartmouth.
We will provide additional updates as we move through the conciliation process. There is no formal time frame to the process, but after seven days of face-to-face negotiations, your bargaining team remains with only thirteen articles and a financial package to resolve. Stay tuned.
