Healthcare Administrative Professionals Bargaining Update: Updated FAQ & Vote Extension

We hope you were able to make it out to one of the stops on our worksite tour, were contacted as part of our phone banking efforts, and/or were able to participate in one of the three meetings that were held this week to answer questions about your upcoming strike vote.

Based on some of the common questions that emerged from those conversations, we have updated your FAQ document.

If, after reviewing that information, you still have questions or concerns about next steps, please don’t hesitate to contact a member of your bargaining committee (information is at the bottom of this email).

We have made the decision to extend your strike vote by an additional week. The vote will open as planned, on Monday, June 5, and will remain open until Friday, June 16. This decision was made because CUPE is holding a paper ballot and is not beginning their vote until Monday, June 12th. As per the Council of Union’s Constitution, the vote results from all constituent unions must be reported together. Therefore, we cannot disclose the results of our strike vote until CUPE has concluded their vote.

You should receive your electronic voting credentials the morning the vote opens. If you do not receive an email with your voting information by 11 a.m. on Monday, June 5, please check your junk mail folder and look for emails from voterinfo@intelivote.com. If you are unable to find the email, call the NSGEU HELPLINE at 902-424-4063 or toll-free at 1-877-556-7438 for assistance.
