OR

Call us at (902) 424-4063/1.877.556.7438.

This information is necessary for us to ensure we can reach you directly in order to receive up-to-date bargaining information as our conciliation dates are scheduled.

We will also be sending your voter information via email.

Your Bargaining Committee has completed nine days of negotiations so far with each day taking place on April 20, May 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 27, 28 and June 4, 2021. On our ninth day of bargaining, the Union declared an impasse and has filed for conciliation.

What is Conciliation? Conciliation is a requirement under the Nova Scotia Trade Union Act that takes place when regular negotiations fail to reach an agreement. Either party may apply to the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education requesting the services of a Conciliation Officer. The Conciliation Officer does not have the power to impose a settlement on either party. Instead, their role is to mediate between the parties and help them reach an agreement.

You will hear from us soon.

If you have any questions, please contact a member of the Bargaining Committee:
