Local 22 – Union Filing For Conciliation
Negotiations between the Employer and the Union continued on January 28th at the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax. At the conclusion of talks the Employer presented the Union with a final offer. This offer falls very short of what would be acceptable to your Bargaining Committee. The Employer’s final offer also includes a number of concessions.
Your Bargaining Committee advised the Employer that we intend to file for conciliation in an effort to reach a fair agreement. We will advise the membership when conciliation dates have been determined.
