Local 81 – Tentative Agreement ratified

Members of NSGEU Local 81, support staff at Mount St. Vincent University, ratified their tentative agreement.

“Congratulations to the Bargaining Committee and Chief Negotiator, Tina Webber, who worked hard to reach this agreement with the employer,” said Joan Jessome, President of the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union.

The vote was 93 per cent in favour of the tentative agreement reached on Friday, January 18. There were 98 eligible voters: 82 members voted and 76 voted yes.

Members of Local 81 provide support services for Mount St. Vincent University. They work in the Bookstore, Registrar’s Office, Facilities management, Financial Services, IT Services, Library, Athletics and Recreation, the Print Shop, and many other Departments at the University.
