Local 97 – CDHA Nurses – Bargaining Update – 20 Feb 2014

We met today with the Employer to try and reach agreement on at least some of our outstanding proposals prior to conciliation.

The Employer presented us with an update to their final offer of December 12, 2013. A copy of the February 20, 2014 offer is available upon request. Contact the NSGEU Learning Resource Centre (ResourceCentre@nsgeu.ca, 424-4063, or 1-877-556-7438) to have a copy emailed or faxed to you.

Although we tried to engage them in negotiations, they are not willing to address any of our proposals. They reiterated that their offer is conditional on us accepting all of their offer including the claw back proposals.

Your committee advised the Employer that we are not prepared to accept their amended final offer.

We will attend conciliation in March and will provide you with an update.
