Local 99 Dalhousie Operational Support Bargaining Update: Tentative Agreement Reached

On August 16th, 2023, the Local 99 bargaining committee reached a tentative agreement with Dalhousie through conciliation.

This has been an extremely difficult round of bargaining, with an outcome of historical wage increases.

The tentative agreement is contingent on agreement to an outstanding issue with respect to the CPP enhancement integration that impacts NSGEU Locals 77, 99, and the Dalhousie Faculty Association, who have been working together throughout this round to ensure this issue results in a fair, reasonable way for all parties.

NSGEU will provide dates for ratification votes in the coming days. The Union and your bargaining committee will present details of the tentative agreement and answer your questions during the ratification votes.

Please keep an eye on your emails for further communication.

Your bargaining committee thanks you for your support through this process. If you have any questions please reach out to the committee, but please be mindful that full details will remain within the bargaining unit until ratification.

The Union would like to thank NSGEU Local 77 and the Dal Faculty Association for their solidarity and coordinated efforts on the CPP Enhancement Integration. This hard work together will benefit us all.

The Chief negotiator would also like to thank the bargaining committee for their hard work. They fulfilled their roles with integrity and the bargaining unit should be proud of their representation.
