Local 1 Special Meeting

There will be a special meeting held March 3, 2015 at 6:30 pm at the Evergreen Club.

This meeting is to address the recent layoffs to our provincial parks and our visitor

Information Centers.

On Feb. 27, 2015, 58 members were advised their positions were cut. We will be

meeting with elected officials to advise them on how we feel about these cuts. We are

asking members to please try and attend and show support to our provincial parks

and tourism employees who were laid off.

Joan Jessome will be attending this meeting as will Jim Gosse (weather permitting, of course).

Our local 1 sub meeting will be followed after this information session. I know the

usual time for local meeting is 7:00 pm but expect a late start for the meeting.

Again I ask that any member attend that can, we need to show gov’t we are not taking

these cuts lightly.
