Office Grand Opening!

The NSGEU has called 100 Eileen Stubbs Avenue in Dartmouth home for 21 years, now. It is a home that has served us well as we have fought many labour battles over the years. But as our membership has grown in that time – from 12,500 to almost 30,000 women and men – it became clear we would need more space to serve our vibrant membership. So, in 2008, discussions began in earnest for the creation of NSGEU’s new members’ office. Now, after five years of careful planning, design and construction, this new 58,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is ready to welcome our membership.

All of our members were invited to join us to celebrate the completion of the NSGEU’s new office, which will serve as our new home for both members and staff. If you have RSVPed that you will be in attendance, please join us from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 7th at 255 John Savage Avenue in Burnside.

Members traveling from outside Metro Halifax will be eligible for a travel stipend to help offset the cost of gas. Additionally, members from Yarmouth and surrounding areas and Sydney and surrounding areas may request accommodation, if required.
