Bargaining Update for Local 62 – Chisholm Youth Services

Information Session and Ratification Vote

Dear member,

After a few days at the bargaining table, we are pleased to announce your bargaining committee has reached a tentative agreement with your employer and is recommending acceptance of the agreement.

If you are a member of Local 62 and require a copy of the tentative agreement, please contact the Resource Centre and they will assist you (inquiry@nsgeu.ca).

We have scheduled a drop-in information & ratification session as noted below, so you will have an opportunity to hear the details of the tentative agreement and ask questions. The session is scheduled as follows:

Date: Friday, November 20^th, 9 a.m. to noon

Location: Barnett House (5724 South St. Halifax, bottom floor)

You will be required to wear a mask while in the building and to also fill out a COVID questionnaire upon entering the building.

Members of your bargaining committee and NSGEU staff will be in attendance to answer any questions you have. You can drop in at any time during the meeting – you are not expected to stay for the entire three-hour window. Please make every effort to attend the information/ratification vote session, as this will be your only opportunity to vote on your tentative agreement.
