High School Essay/Artist Expression Award

The Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU) is very excited to announce the launch of 24 new annual NSGEU High School awards being made available to all graduating Nova Scotia High School students who would wish to apply.

The application simply requires completion of the application with all identifying information completed and a 750 word essay or a form of artistic impression such as video, art, etc on important union activities they have seen in their community. These essays, although not evaluated, will be required to be attached to the fully completed application to be eligible and will be entered into a random draw from all eligible applications completed and received for the awards.

Application deadline is May 15th.

Scroll down to find attached a poster and application, that can be duplicated and utilized as needed. The information will also be available on our website at nsgeu.ca.

Please note, only those students who are successful in receiving an award will be contacted.

There is also the opportunity that others will be awarded a small token of appreciation for applying in the form of an NSGEU merchandise item.
