Local 23 – Cape Breton Island Housing Authority Bargaining Update: Tentative Agreement Reached

Dear members,

Collective bargaining for your first agreement has been ongoing since February. The parties have just reached a tentative agreement for a first collective agreement which would run from Nov. 20^th, 2020, to March 31^st, 2023.

This tentative agreement provides for economic adjustments including the reclassification of several positions. An information and ratification session will be held on Monday, June 28^th at 6:00 pm at the Ukrainian Hall, 49 West Street, Whitney Pier. Members of your bargaining committee and your Chief Negotiator will be present at this meeting to answer any questions you may have. It is important you attend, as this will be your only opportunity to vote on your tentative agreement.
