Local 267 – NS Community College Bargaining and Voting Information

Dear members of Local 267,

We want to thank all those members who have come out to their Local meetings and participated in the strike vote thus far.

As we move forward in the bargaining process, our next step is conciliation.

We are asking you to vote in favour of a strike in order to give the Bargaining Committee strength as they head into the conciliation process and try to reach an agreement.

There are monetary and non-monetary issues outstanding, including the internal job posting process, as well as parity with other employees at the college with regard to leaves, vacation, and the Individual Learning Account.

There are two more Local meetings happening in Truro and Amherst. NSGEU President Jason MacLean and EROs Paul Cormier and Rick Wiseman, along with members from your Bargaining Committee, will be in attendance and available to answer any questions. You will be able to vote by ballot at these two last meetings and we hope to see you there.
