Local 27 Evergreen Home For Special Care – Tentative Agreement Reached

The union is pleased to advise the membership that your Bargaining Committee has reached a tentative agreement with Evergreen Home for Special Care.

The agreement was reached on February 27th after four days of negotiations. The employer was open to hearing the concerns of the membership and your Committee felt discussions were very productive.

Full details of the offer and information/voting sessions will be mailed to the membership within the next ten days.

The five-year agreement includes pay increases on November 1st of each year as follows:  2010 – 1%; 2011 – 1%; 2012 -2%; 2013 – 2.5%; 2014 – 3%.  The agreement also includes a number of other improvements which will be detailed in the document you will be receiving from the union.

Your Bargaining Committee is recommending acceptance of the tentative agreement and thanks you for your support of the Committee’s efforts during this round of talks.
