Local 51 – Community Inclusion: Ratification of Collective Agreement

Dear Local 51 member,

Today, (Wednesday, March 3rd), members of your local voted 100% in favor of accepting your tentative agreement.

This is a three-and-a-half-year agreement ending December 31st, 2022 that includes economic increases, improvements to domestic violence leave, bereavement leave, staff recognition days, a work-at-home agreement, and job training incentives.

Your committee members and NSGEU staff wish to thank the members of Local 51 for your support and patience throughout the bargaining process. What we want for our clients, we want for ourselves, and your vote clearly indicates that the bargaining committee has delivered.
