Local 58 Bargaining Update: Information Session and Ratification Vote Scheduled for June 19th

Dear Local 58 members,

The Bargaining Committee has reached a tentative agreement with the Employer. They are recommending ACCEPTANCE.

An information session and ratification vote of the tentative agreement has been scheduled.

Members of the Bargaining Committee and the Chief Negotiator, Jo-Ann Bailey, will be in attendance and available to answer any questions or concerns.

Copies of the tentative agreement will be mailed out to the membership. If you are a Local 58 member and have not received a copy, please contact the NSGEU by calling 902-424-4063 (toll-free 1-877-556-7438) or emailing inquiry@nsgeu.ca and we will ensure a copy is sent to you.

The following is a list of the outstanding provisions that have now been resolved through negotiations:

• Grievance and Arbitration: Article 24.03
• Duration and Retroactivity:  Articles 33.01 & 33.02
• Term Rate of pay:  Appendix A
• Picketing: Appendix C
• MOU Scheduling Committee
