Local 61 – CACL Vote on Employer’s Final Offer
As many of you are aware, talks between your bargaining committee and your employer reached an impasse on October 1st, 2013. The union filed for conciliation on October 3rd and conciliation was held on November 19th.
The employer has made a final offer, which your bargaining committee is recommending rejecting. The union will be holding an information session and vote on the employer’s final offer on Tuesday, November 26th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Claymore Inn in Antigonish.
Details of the final offer and the rationale behind rejecting the final offer will be explained during the information session.
NSGEU President Joan Jessome and Director of Negotiations & Servicing, Robin Maclean, will be in attendance to review the final offer with the members.
If you have any questions regarding the final offer, please direct them to a member of your bargaining committee.
The union cannot stress how important it is that you show up during this important information session and show support for your bargaining committee.
