Local 64 CRSS – Another Day of Talks Scheduled
Dear Local 64 member,
As many of you are aware, your bargaining unit has voted 71% in favour of rejecting your employer’s offer.
The conciliation officer will file his report on Thursday, July 25; this will trigger a 14-day countdown before your local is in a legal position to strike. However, a strike can only be called by the President of the NSGEU, Joan Jessome.
The parties have agreed to meet again on Wednesday, August 7 to try and resolve the outstanding issues.
Further updates will be made available after the scheduled talks on Wednesday, August 7.
If you have any questions, please contact a member of your bargaining committee or the NSGEU at 424-4063 (toll free 1-877-556-7438), or e-mail us at inquiry@nsgeu.ca.
