Local 78B-Stock Transportation: Bargaining Update

Dear members of Local 78B,

Your Bargaining Committee presented the Local’s bargaining proposals (which were developed from the results of the membership survey) to your Employer on March 27, and held further bargaining meetings with the Employer on March 28, June 20, and June 21. Talks have been cordial and respectful. The Employer has taken care to respond to all of our proposals. However, we have not yet reached an agreement and more bargaining is planned for September 2017.

Your Bargaining Committee wants to hear from you and has changed your next Local meeting in September into a bargaining update meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to further prioritize bargaining demands and assess the resolve of the membership to pursue these demands with the Employer. We encourage everyone to attend on September 12 at the NSGEU. Please note this is not a normal local meeting so mileage expenses will not be covered for this meeting. Your next regular local meetings will be held on October 10, 2017

Please plan to attend a bargaining update meeting at the NSGEU Office on Tuesday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m.
