Message to Housing Authorities Members

We understand that many of you are concerned regarding yesterday’s letter from Deputy Minister Lafleche where he explained how Housing NS is being split into Public Housing and Housing Strategy & Programs. With very little being said on how this will unfold, your Union shares your concerns.

While government states that no decisions have been made, it certainly appears that, a very specific course of action has been laid out. All without any meaningful consultation with your Union.

This afternoon, the NSGEU sent a letter to Minister John Lohr requesting a meeting as soon as possible to discuss this issue. You can see a copy of the letter here.

We will provide more information as it is received from government.
