NSGEU Local 97 Sets Up E-Transfer for Donations to Strike Fund

Dear members of Local 97,

In order to raise money for all those nurses affected by the 2-day pay suspension for the wildcat strike, the local has set up an account to offset the burden that your fellow co-workers endured while fighting for patient safety and improving our working conditions.

If you are sending a donation by Interac e-Transfer please take the following steps to ensure your donation gets through.

1)   Email the money to tmacdonald@nsgeu.ca

2)   The suggested minimum donation is $25, however, please donate whatever you can to help

3)   Set the security question to “what is the money for”

4)   Set the security answer to “donation”

You can also send money by cheque payable to NSGEU, and on the memo line ensure to write “strike fund”. Cheques can be mailed to :

If you are giving a cash donation, please arrange a time to meet with either Robert or Trish, as we do not recommend sending cash in the mail.
