Rally for Parity at Northwood Homecare Inc. – tomorrow, Wed. Feb. 18 from 1 – 1:30pm

Rally at Northwood Homecare Inc.
Halifax – Members of NSGEU Local 34, home support workers at Northwood will be holding a rally for parity outside Northwood Homecare Inc. head office in Burnside tomorrow, Wed. Feb. 19 at 1pm.
Home support workers at Northwood will be legally able to go on strike as of 12:01am, February 28. They are the first in line out of 14 NSGEU home support locals legally able to go on strike.
Home support workers are demanding parity with workers who have the same qualifications and do the same job but work in a hospital setting.
When: Wednesday, Feb. 19
Time: 1pm – 1:30pm
Location: 130 Eileen Stubbs Ave, Dartmouth (in Burnside)
NSGEU President, Joan Jessome, will be available for media interviews.
There are approximately 420 members of Local 34.
