You are invited to apply for the Spring 2024 NSGEU Bursaries and Scholarships

The Education Committee would like to advise, that the deadline of 5 PM March 15 is fast approaching for the NSGEU Member Bursaries and NSGEU Member Dependent Scholarships.

Please note: NSGEU Member Dependent Bursaries are only available in the fall.

NSGEU believes in supporting members and their dependents who are continuing their education.  There are 14 Member Bursaries and 5 Member Dependent Scholarships currently available with a March 15 deadline.

Bursaries are awarded based on financial need and scholarships are awarded based on scholastic achievement (marks), at the discretion of the NSGEU Education Committee.

Applications and all supporting documentation must be filed with the Nova Scotia Government & General Employees Union (NSGEU) on, or prior to, 5 PM March 15th.

All application form questions (blank spaces) must be completed. The application form must be signed by the applicant and the member.

Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline will be disqualified from the selection process.

An individual applicant may only receive one (1) NSGEU Scholarship/Bursary in a lifetime.

If you have already submitted an application for the March 15th deadline, please review the current guidelines to ensure that your application will not be disqualified.
