Your Local 56 bargaining committee reached a tentative agreement with your employer on Tuesday, January 7th.
Details of the tentative agreement will be mailed to all members as soon as the document has been finalized. The package being sent to members will also contain details regarding upcoming information and ratification sessions.
During our discussions with your employer on January 7th we also confirmed that your dental plan came into effect on January 1st and were advised that booklets would be issued to members in late January. As well, your employer confirmed they have already changed to bi-weekly deductions. The health portion of deductions will appear as “hel ex” on your pay stub.
We understand from bargaining committee members that a number of Local 56 members are not receiving mailed information sent from our office. We do not receive your personal contact information from your employer, so it is essential you contact us with that information if you have not signed a membership card or if you have had a change in address since originally signing and remitting a membership card.
