Local 64 CRSS – Strike notice sent
The bargaining committee met with the employer on Wednesday, August 7th for another day of conciliation. Talks broke down after your employer provided no improvements to the previous offer that was rejected by the membership. The union has sent 48-hour strike notice to the Minister of Labour, which puts the local in a strike position as of 12:01 a.m. Saturday morning. The local will not go on strike until there is a meeting with the members. NSGEU President Joan Jessome is the only person who can call a strike.
