Local 71 – Negotiations Continues
Your Bargaining Committee met with the Employer for further negotiations on March 4th and 5th, 2013. Progress was made on some non-monetary issues, and discussion continued on major issues such as staffing. Overall, talks have been productive, but several major issues remain outstanding. Further dates for bargaining have been scheduled for March 18th and 19th, as well as April 2nd.
We are very much hoping to conclude a new collective agreement during this timeframe, and will keep you posted on further developments.
