Local 46 – Employees of the PVSC reach a tentative agreement

NSGEU Local 46, Employees of the Property Valuation Services Corporation, Reach a Tentative Agreement.

Halifax – NSGEU Local 46, Employees of the Property Valuation Services Corporation, reach a tentative agreement.

“We are pleased to have reached this tentative agreement after five (5) days at the bargaining table,” says Joan Jessome, President of the Nova Scotia Government & General Employees Union. “We would like to acknowledge our Chief Negotiator, Dave Moore, and the Bargaining Committee, who worked with the employer to achieve an offer they could recommend to the membership.”

“We also appreciate and want to acknowledge the respectful and constructive manner in which the employer approached bargaining,” says Jessome. “As a result, negotiations were very smooth and we were able to reach an agreement before the existing collective agreement expires.”

We will be able to provide details of the tentative agreement once the membership has received them. They will be emailed to the membership early next week. The date for ratification of this tentative agreement has yet to be set.

The Bargaining Committee is recommending acceptance.

There are approximately 120 members of Local 46, who provide professional, technical, and administrative services for the Property Valuation Services Corporation.
