Letter to Premier regarding Potential Nova Scotia Government Announcement on Beer Sales
Dear members,
Following the CBC news report on Tuesday regarding a pending announcement on beer being sold in convenience stores, the NSGEU met with senior NSLC staff on Wednesday morning and followed up with meeting NSLC President and CEO Greg Hughes on Thursday. We received assurances that NSLC has not been made aware of any such plans.
Following the meetings President Mullen sent a letter to Premier Houston seeking a meeting to discuss the issue.
Once again, with no confirmation coming from the employer or government this issue appears to be a rumour at this time.
We will provide updates as soon as we have more concrete information to share.
