Local 66 – Telephone Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, May 16th

Telephone

After three days of negotiations, talks aimed at achieving a new collective agreement for Local 66 have reached an impasse. While the talks were successful in dealing with some articles, we were not able to reach agreement on key monetary issues and there are still several concessions proposed by the employer.

Your bargaining committee is very disappointed that we have been unable to reach an agreement. We will be conducting a vote among the membership in preparation for conciliation.

To help members better understand the process that lies ahead, we will be hosting a Telephone Town Hall session on Thursday, May 16th at 7 p.m.

Participating is easy. We call at 7 p.m. During the meeting, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and make comments, just like in a radio call-in show. The meeting will last about 60 minutes, but you can leave at any time simply by hanging up.

You should soon receive a phone call inviting you to attend these sessions. If you do not receive a call, please contact us by 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15th at 424-4063 to make sure we have your correct phone number. If you don’t receive a call the night of the Town Hall, or experience any technical difficulties during the call, please contact us at the above number.

Your bargaining committee thanks you for your continued support during these talks!
